Development project
This exciting project has already brought to the Cathedal site a new home for our award-winning work with homeless people as part of our Community Resources Centre.
Then we'll be renewing the inside of the church, including providing level access, improving the flooring, seating, and lighting, and raising money for a new organ.
Centre and church together will provide a facility for care, learning, heritage and arts for the people of Sheffield and South Yorkshire.

The Community Resources Centre
The new Community Resources Centre includes conference rooms, a learning suite, all the facilities that our work with homeless people requires, together with a hall and a gallery area suitable for recitals, concerts, and art exhibitions.
Together with the re-ordered Cathedral the Centre will enhance the local “Cathedral Quarter” and support many of the wider social and economic objectives of the City.

A renewed Cathedral
The second phase of our development, the Gateway Project, will include essential maintenance to the entrance, heating, electrical wiring and lighting, changing the floor levels and installing a new limestone floor and new movable seating.
This will make the worship areas and the heritage of the building accessible to all and create a large floor area within the building that can accommodate music, drama, exhibitions and meetings.

To help close the funding gap contact the Dean who will be very happy to talk with you, in complete confidence, about the difference you can make.
